On July 11th and 12th 2024, GTP® Managing Director Dr. Markus Brem, attended the International Tax Conference (ITC) in Munich, Bavaria.
The ITC was a high-profile event jointly organized in cooperation with ICC (International Chamber of Commerce), Business@OECD and BusinessEurope.
This Year’s theme was “Paving the way beyond BEPS and Pillars”.
It focused on international tax issues, where current topics were presented by experts, accompanied by expert panel discussions. This made the content very relatable and gave conference attendees great insight into new developments in the respective areas of international tax.
The main topics discussed during this conference were: „Pillar 1“ – Amount A and B; possible measures to manage challenges associated with current anti-abuse rules; the use of AI in the tax world; achieving „Tax Certainty“ through mechanisms such as Cooperative Compliance Programs or Joint Audits; and „Pillar 2“ – Global Minimum Tax.
